Synopsis: Rose and Calder’s lives collide in Redemption Bluff. A place of safety for society’s unwanted – the outlaw, the shellshocked, the abandoned, the sinful, the dregs. People came there because there was nowhere else they could go, to start a new life, sometimes even with a new name, and leave their sordid or painful pasts behind. Will Rose and Calder be able to do the same? Or will their pasts catch up with them first?
Review: I really have to stop judging books by their covers. This book was really good. It was nothing like I expected. I had no idea it was a romance book and a good one at that. I recommend this as a good book to read. It's a little different but still good none the less..

Review: This book started off slow but then it started getting interesting.. I guess you really can turn a thot into a housewife.. I liked how this book was set back into the slavery days.. And it’s crazy that a white woman whore would be interested in a black man without getting all that backlash.. Lol at Calder tho, he was scared on his wedding night.

Review: This was a great story. Set in the late 1800s, this was not typical of the type of books I normally read. However; it was definitely an enjoyable read. The book was very well written and was easy to follow. The author’s style of writing made it easy for me to visualize what was taking place. Never would have imagined Rose, a lady of the night, would end up having any type of relationship with Calder, a former slave. I don’t want to give away how their relationship evolves but this is a must read. Redemption Bluff was also an interesting town. I liked how everyone there had some type of past but they were able to coexist without judgement and drama. A place like that is needed in the world today. I will definitely look forward to reading more from this author.
