Author Speaks with Sparkle Riley

Star is homeless and penniless. One threesome with her husband and her boss, changed her life forever. Star was thrown out into the streets, while her Boss London played wifey and mommy to her family. His mistress was driving her car and everything. Working together in a Clinic, made matters worse. What should she do? Or better yet, what would you do? Deciding to fight for her man or not. To kill London and catch a charge, was she worth it in the end?
What inspired you to write Let my husband go!: Star Part 6?
“Star” is a young lady with a rough past! This character has definitely been through somethings! Her best friend is murdered and the tragedies go on and on. With so many obstacles, most would have given up. But not Star, she’s back as a career woman, independent and stronger than ever.
Is this a standalone novel or apart of a series?
It’s part of my “Baby Mama From Hell” storyline.
How did you come up with the title and storyline?
It was just time! I wanted Star to be an inspiration to other single mothers. We all know that nothing is easy or free. When one door closes, another one will open when the time is right! Star is successfully co-parenting with her baby daddy now. Star has definitely changed for the better!
Can you tell us a little about the main character(s)?
Star takes up a trade and gets her first job! She has the best husband and protector! Her family is her prized possession. But working in a clinic with a bunch of bitter women, is not what she expected at all. Telling them about her private life backfires quickly. Her bisexual boss wants everything that Star has, including her! So her perfect life is turned upside again! It’s real bad this time, too. Star has to make the biggest decision of her life!
Do you think the cover art of your e-book/novel will persuade readers to read the story inside?
I think so. Star appears together and all. But if you look closely, you can see the hurt in her eyes. Star clearly appears to be going through somethings!
How much of the book is realistic? Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
It’s all realistic! Infidelity. Trust issues. Insecurities. Peer pressure. Life and death. Forgiveness or revenge. I think every man or woman has experienced at least one of these in their life. I know that I have. For this particular story, I put feelings into this. I literally put my heart into to. I had to be that character. The one my reader’s hated and the one’s they loved. I was the wife, mistress and the husband character
What was the hardest part about writing this book?
Honestly, for me the format. What I put in, was totally different from the finished product! I am still learning that one. I’ve come a long ways. Twenty one books later in a nine month period. But my last few to me, are my best work. Best, but not perfect! I just love what I do! To the point, I’m going to keep trying until I get it right.
Is there a message in your e-book/novel that you want your readers to grasp?
The storm shall pass in every situation. It can be gray skies one day and sunshine the next one. Just find yourself first and the rest will follow. We all go through things from time to time. That’s life. But it does and will get better. Just take it one day at a time!
Is there anything else you would like your/the readers to know about your book?
Follow me on Facebook & GoodReads! I tend to give my readers an up close and personal front seat to my future stories. I am always open to comments and honest reviews there. On Facebook, I answer any question that’s asked, honestly!
Additional Comments?
Mz. Jetson it’s always a pleasure to return! It’s still a learning process. I am always grateful for being able to have a voice here. What you do is awesome for self-publishers especially! Most of us are still unheard of. My journey has been short. I’m just finding my own way. All of my reviews, good and bad has been an enormous help. Being discouraged is never an option for me.
