In the city of New Orleans, crime is at an all-time high as the streets are flushed with drugs and poverty as most inner cities are. This city is different; however, one of the major players in the drug game is a female, which is unheard of on the streets.
For years, Sharice has worked to build her reputation to survive in the male-dominated drug game and has almost made it to the top in the Faction, a criminal organization that consists of three different bosses who control several major cities. With all the work she’s put in, Sharice feels she’s earned the right to become the organization’s first female boss.
While she has the backing of Atlanta Boss, the mafia connected John ‘Johnny Boy’ Bianchi, due to her support in the past, she’s yet to sway Miami Boss Rico Hernandez, or her own Boss, ‘Money’ Mike Rashad. Tensions run high when a local dealer decides to test Sharice and her crew to take back what he believes is his territory.
With schemes and betrayal going against her, a new FBI investigation specifically targeting her, and an old flame returning to her life, this is a tale of one woman trying to maintain as things around her begin to crumble. Will she sacrifice everything she believes in and everyone she loves in order to achieve the top spot?

Review: I’ve followed this author from the beginning, and let me say I really enjoyed this book. I’m so excited for part 2. It’s nice to see a female in the drug game not catering to men (for the most part). My favorite character is obviously Sharice. Such a strong presence with her crew and I think she’s gonna go h.a.m. in the next book the way this one left off! Great read!
Set several years prior to the events in ‘Confessions of a Call Center Junkie: The Diary of Lellow’, we see a struggling Lellow at her lowest point with drugs and alcohol completely immersed in her life before meeting her soon to be best friend Gia. They form an inseparable bond with each other as Lellow works to get her life back in order with help from therapy sessions and Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Getting clean and maintaining sobriety is battle for anyone Lellow learns as she has to work through her addiction problems while also struggling to maintain her life as a customer service representative, being subjected to mental and sexual abuse, her love life which includes feelings towards two men who she currently works with, and life as a sponsor in her N.A. meetings. Confessions of a Call Center Junkie was Lellow’s diary in her own words. The Chronicles of Lellow showcases the real Lellow, without the mask of her own words. It’s a tale that shows the day to day of a recovering addict who fights to remain sober in a world that’s built to keep her in her place, no matter how hard she tries. Take a look into the soul of the real Lellow, and become a witness to her turbulent life.
Review: This book is the prequel to “The Diary of Lellow” which I purchased when it dropped. Let me tell you, I always wondered about Lellow, since that book is a diary based on her own words. Was she telling the truth? Who knows, because you only got her version. This one though, you get to see what made her the person she becomes in the first book. You also see her therapist Jennifer, Gia (from the follow up book The Diary of Gia), and a few others from the other books as well. I love how the last chapter ties into the first book. Overall, this book was fun, and I enjoyed learning a little of the background of one of my recent favorite book characters. Well done E. Nigma!!!!! Can’t wait to see what you drop next!
