Synopsis: In this spin off to the Married to a Chicago Bully series, Atif is struggling as he deals with life as a single parent. Losing his wife in childbirth caused him a lot of pain, but he’s coping as best as he can. Far away from the streets of the Chi, he’s the only parent his boys know as they deal with the devastating blow of Kapri’s death six months ago.
The cutthroat streets of the Chi don’t love nobody, and Rebel is no exception. When your man is a street king, they love you, but when the relationship falls off, they don’t. Giving it a second try, Rebel reinvents herself and is left at the altar, forcing her to give up on love completely. Discovering a close family member was the victim of abuse at the hands of someone she loved, her grandmother’s death left her with the realization that Rebel has no one to turn to as an only child with no family. Love ain’t supposed to hurt, but in her case, love moved on a long time ago. Determined to guard her sanity at all costs, Rebel hit the streets with a hole where her heart used to be.
Thrown together during a pivotal moment in both of their lives, Rebel and Atif are determined to keep their relationship strictly business. Burned by love and unwilling to put their feelings on the line, they eventually find that love has its own motives when it comes to these two. Do they give in to temptation?

This is a touching story of a vulnerable and helpless girl who determines to thrive amidst hot opposition from her loved ones... This book makes you understand that your parents, siblings and your relatives could be barricades in your path of success, only YOU, a stroke of luck, your determination and your star will remain to aid you; at times, they might not even be enough to give that succour because there has been war from the origin... And that is her story.
Review: I like this story bc it came from a different story that I'm uses to!! Some Africa ppl are raised different then some but how can u have sex with a child that's so young and then just throw her away bc of something that was out of her control.
