Her beau, Alex Sanchez, has other things in store for Monica as she unravels a conspiracy that will make her seek the desperate of help of her so-called “friends” and Marcus Jones.
This whole ordeal will test her faith on love, honesty, her passion for the criminal justice system, and losing the man she loves. Will Monica give up hope and let the justice system decide her fate?
Review: This book was pretty good. Poor Monica, I felt bad for her the way she was being set up. That was dead wrong.. Awe but look at Marcus!!. Such a gentleman. Great read.

Review: The beginning of the story moved a little slow for me but as I got more into the book, things picked up rather quickly. This was my first time reading any work by this author and I felt that overall it was pretty good. The only thing negative I have to say is that so much was going on that I was not clear of the timeline. It seemed as the incidents that were taking place occurred over a few days but then some details made it seem like it may have been weeks. In the end I am glad everything worked out for the best. I can’t believe what people are willing to do to get ahead!

Synopsis: Rose and Calder’s lives collide in Redemption Bluff. A place of safety for society’s unwanted – the outlaw, the shellshocked, the abandoned, the sinful, the dregs. People came there because there was nowhere else they could go, to start a new life, sometimes even with a new name, and leave their sordid or painful pasts behind. Will Rose and Calder be able to do the same? Or will their pasts catch up with them first?
Review: I really have to stop judging books by their covers. This book was really good. It was nothing like I expected. I had no idea it was a romance book and a good one at that. I recommend this as a good book to read. It's a little different but still good none the less..

Review: This book started off slow but then it started getting interesting.. I guess you really can turn a thot into a housewife.. I liked how this book was set back into the slavery days.. And it’s crazy that a white woman whore would be interested in a black man without getting all that backlash.. Lol at Calder tho, he was scared on his wedding night.
