Synopsis: In the city of New Orleans, crime is at an all-time high as the streets are flushed with drugs and poverty as most inner cities are. This city is different; however, one of the major players in the drug game is a female, which is unheard of on the streets.
For years, Sharice has worked to build her reputation to survive in the male-dominated drug game and has almost made it to the top in the Faction, a criminal organization that consists of three different bosses who control several major cities. With all the work she’s put in, Sharice feels she’s earned the right to become the organization’s first female boss.
While she has the backing of Atlanta Boss, the mafia connected John ‘Johnny Boy’ Bianchi, due to her support in the past, she’s yet to sway Miami Boss Rico Hernandez, or her own Boss, ‘Money’ Mike Rashad. Tensions run high when a local dealer decides to test Sharice and her crew to take back what he believes is his territory.
With schemes and betrayal going against her, a new FBI investigation specifically targeting her, and an old flame returning to her life, this is a tale of one woman trying to maintain as things around her begin to crumble. Will she sacrifice everything she believes in and everyone she loves in order to achieve the top spot?
Review: I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. First it was refreshing to read about a female boss in the drug game! Also the author did a great job of bringing this story to life. The attention to detail made me feel like I could see this being a blockbuster movie or a television series. I also enjoyed the fact that it was not the typical thug story with street thug meets some girl, they hook up and live happily ever after. This story followed Sharice and showed why she was a true boss chic and how she made her way to the top. Her friend Connie is something else and not to be played with. I hope she gets whats coming to her in part two because she is a loose cannon. Well written, great story line and attention to detail. Looking forward to part two as well as other works by this talented author.

Real Love Is Not for Sale
February 10, 2020
Synopsis: It’s been almost four years. Four years of abandonment, rejection, torture and no hope for Monet. That is until Fabian returns home only to learn his first love, his mother, is dying of cancer. He never once regretted leaving. It was either that or prison, so he chose the first one, moving on and finding love. Or so he thought.
Soon his path crosses with Monet. She’s more than just a pretty face with the body of a goddess. She’s his best friend, his confidant, the angel clipped from his life that fell from heaven. He just didn’t know it until her presence shook up his world and left him hungry for love— her love.
Unfortunately, Monet being one of his father’s top “girls” can’t see herself as lovable and his girlfriend Cheyenne or his father Joseph won’t make it easy for him to walk away.
Does Monet finally escape even if it comes with a price? Or will the life she chose to live and commit to destroy Fabian’s life, too?
Review: This was an okay story, started off a little slow to me.. Fabian was something else.. And who is this character C??? Hmmm . 25 years is a long time.
Reece in Pieces
Nataisha T. Hill
May 15, 2020
Synopsis:Sometimes Life can Seem Unforgiving...From Childhood to Adulthood
Reece is the typical child who loves getting surprise gifts and hanging out at the local arcade. Since she is her mother’s only child, being spoiled is a natural thing for her. Her dad and uncle buys her anything she wants, so she rarely has to ask for anything. However, there were times when Reece would get lonely from being the only child, especially when her mother would send her outside for hours at a time during the day.
For the most part, Reece was still a happy kid. Although her mother-daughter relationship was unusual, she figured her mom was doing the best she could with what she was given. Let her mother tell it, it certainly wasn’t much.
As a kid, Reece didn’t realize that her mother’s unhappiness would lead to a stream of poor decisions. Although Reece was a smart kid, her inability to recognize the seriousness of her mom’s situation would wreak havoc on her well-being. Sadly enough, it only takes one small incident for Reece’s life to snowball into a series of horrific circumstances. It is hard to believe that a child this young and innocent would begin to question her own existence. As life continues to go on, so does Reece’s travesty.
Review: This book was an easy read with a lot of shocking secrets. My heart went out to Reece while reading about the things she had to endure as a young child. I would liked to have learned more about her mother’s background that made her unable to have more love towards her only child. It was touched on briefly after all of the secrets began to come out once Reece was a teenager. Reece was a strong young lady who had been through some things. I would love to see a sequel to this because I am sure there are more secrets to come to light.
