Review: Great book. I loved the fact that it touched on healing and the effects the past can have on the way you can project your problems and insecurities onto others. The best part was the forgiveness and his mom getting counseling to help better herself. Glad her mom and ex was arrested.

Review: No matter where you come from don’t let anyone make you less. I loved Pepper’s character. She was forced to become the sole provider of her brothers cuz Carrie was trash. The hand she was dealt in life she played it like a champ. Ishmael came into her life and never judged her. I hated the way Mariah and Mercedes tried to play Ish but they were the one to get played. Pepper got a lot from their mistakes. Her man, house and a nice bank account.
